CALA has volunteer opportunities if you are an attorney or law student who is interested in working with communities, exploring a different approach to legal services, or getting experience in several different areas of poverty and civil rights law. For law students, please consider us for an internship, clinical, or practicum placement. If you are interested, please send your resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are always looking for additional support to help us operate our community-based clinics. Volunteers would be able to experience first-hand CALA’s unique “community activism lawyering” model in action. In addition to standard administrative tasks, volunteers also help us with planning community legal education, fundraising, and outreach events.
Many of our clients are Spanish-speaking. In order to provide the best services to all of our clients, we have a need for Spanish speakers who can assist with interpreting for clients and translating documents.
