ABOUT THE CLINIC

The MANO A MANO-Community Activism Law Alliance partnership is a legal services and education-based collaborative focused on serving immigrant residents of Lake County (Chicago's northern suburbs), that operates out of Mano a Mano locations in Round Lake and Zion. The partnership aims to educate community members on their legal rights, how to advocate for themselves, and provide legal services when a lawyer is necessary. CALA’s legal work in Lake County is focused on immigration legal services, providing representation in removal proceedings and other complex immigration matters.  Recognized by the Board of Immigration Appeals, Mano a Mano also provides immigration legal services in administrative adjudications through USCIS, cases such as naturalization, deferred action, U visas, and others.   The goal of the partnership is to provide comprehensive, affordable, and trustworthy immigration legal services to meet complex needs of underserved immigrant communities in Lake County.
