Lydia Sharp

Lydia Sharp is an Equal Justice Works fellow at Equip for Equality
advocating for people with disabilities to be free from sexual abuse
and sex trafficking. Prior to law school, Lydia co-authored a book
about the Dominican Republic, and while in the country, she witnessed
sex trafficking. This experience inspired her to pursue a legal

As a young adult, Lydia toured the country playing marimba and
vibraphone with the Blue Devils, Bluecoats, and Glassmen drum and
bugle corps. She also competed with the RCC indoor drumline.

Lydia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Integrated Media
from Biola University in La Mirada, California in 2012 and her Juris
Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2016.
